Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy for Glossophobia
Glossophobia, or fear of public speaking, is a common anxiety disorder that affects millions of people worldwide. It can cause physical symptoms such as sweating, trembling, and an increased heart rate. It can also lead to psychological symptoms such as fear of judgment and embarrassment. Despite the prevalence of this disorder, there are limited treatment options available for those who suffer from it.
AWRA ("አውራ", amharic word, means "Speak Out") solve the problem of glossophobia by providing a virtual reality exposure therapy program that allows individuals to practice their presentation skills in a safe and controlled environment. It offers users a range of customizable scenarios, including different types of rooms and audiences, to simulate real-world speaking situations. It also track the user's eye movement and use machine learning to extract necessary information from their presentation to provide feedback and improve their performance. AWRA also provides users with statistics on their progress, activities/history, and allows them to modify personal information for better use.
AWRA provide individuals with a means to overcome their fear of public speaking, gain confidence in their presentation skills, and ultimately lead them towards a more successful life. Our program targets the root cause of glossophobia and provides an effective and efficient way for individuals to address their anxiety and overcome their fear.
